The Fet Valve SL Preamplifier is a lower cost straight line version of our superb hybrid design.

It is 12" wide, 11" deep, 3.5" high with an 11 pound shipping weight. It has a black anodized faceplate and knob set with silver lettering and a newly redesigned black powder coated steel chassis. Built-in Fet Valve Phono or Fet Valve Bridge options are available as extra-cost options.

The audio and power supply circuits are identical to the Fet Valve EC preamp giving away nothing musically (except that the tone control section is not supplied).

We provide all the basic switching and control functions you need including a fiberglass selector switch and stepped precision volume and balance controls. There are Special (Phono if so optioned), Tuner, CD, Spare, Tape 1, and Tape 2 inputs. There are two sets of tape outputs, tape-to-tape monitoring switches, two sets of audio outputs, and a new buffered headphone amplifier.

An international 120V/240V 50Hz/60Hz power transformer is also available as an extra cost option replacing the standard 120V 60Hz power transformer.

The Fet Valve line stage is designed to make your CD player, FM tuner, and tape deck work and sound better than ever. It ensures that ultrasonic garbage does not get into your amplifier or tweeters, and provides the necessary consistent load for the volume control and a low impedance source for the output cables so that changing volume or cable lengths does not change the sonic balance.
