Two Preamplifier Chassis Options - the EC and SL

Audio by Van Alstine has always provided maximum value, and one of the ways we accomplish this is by leveraging our designs. Instead of cranking out minutely different enclosures for each model, we carefully crafted two durable mechanical enclosures and control function sets. The only difference between the audio cards going into a SL or EC chassis is the presence of tone control circuitry.

Mute

Logic-driven relay output mute circuit to eliminates any potential annoying thumps from the preamp and any upstream equipment connected to the same switched power strip. Protects against sudden accidental turn-offs like power failure. The relay isn’t in series with the audio circuit so contact points can’t cause signal degradation.
